The coffee is "not even luxury coffee", as stated by Sid Wright's brother-in-law.[1]

- As Sid Wright's vigil continues, we learn that Sid is a sacrifice to the Grindinglord, by staying awake until he dies.[1]
- As a result of this sacrifice to the Grindinglord, Sid Wright's God is created.[2]
- Adjudicator Shrue and Adjudicator Cross are almost killed in the trial of Tranquili-Tea, Melissa Dalton and Julius Brand are killed in the trial.[3]
